Decorati : Amanda Nisbet’s Favorites

New York based interior designer Amanda Nisbet was featured on Decorati for her latest decorating project. The project  was to create cheerful spaces in her own family’s Manhattan apartment.  The interview focuses on her design techniques and personal style.  Amanda gives great advice on decorating and also lists her favorites on Decorati including Kyle Bunting’s Kamera rug! Gump’s Made in the Shade Event

Gump’s, a supporter of the arts, hosted a fundraiser to benefit the California College of the Arts in the form of a scholarship.  All kinds of talent were asked to get involved by making their own masterpiece.  From interior designers and furniture makers to Bay Bridge architect Donald MacDonald and even actress Ali MacGraw.  About 20 of the artistic lampshades were chosen to walk the runway at the public auction.  Others were displayed in the windows of Gump’s for a silent auction.  Ten other items were auctioned off at the Hollywood charity fundraising website www.clothesoffyourback.org.

We were elated to be a part of this worthy cause and the designers here at Kyle Bunting had a great time with this project.

1958 Edward Fickett LA Home Features Kyle Bunting’s Jet Stream Rug

In 1958 Edward Fickett’s home design was featured as the The Times Home Magazine House.  Today, 50 years later, it is featured in the LA Times Home & Garden section.  The new home owners, Jonn Coolidge and Warner Walcott, have kept the home’s timeless floor plan and added their unique style that compliments the home’s original design.
