Hide House

With six Showtime original series as their inspiration, Metropolitan Home opened the doors to its New York Showtime Showhouse.  The Manhattan penthouses were transformed into the ultimate media showhouse by 14 prominent designers and architects.

Kyle Bunting had the privilege of being part of this designers dream house. Joannah Kornak for Holly Hunt used Reflect and Jetstream to create the Californication inspired entryway and bedroom. To take a complete house tour visit Metropolitan Home.

Dallas interior designer Jan Showers debut’s her first book and includes Kyle Bunting! Glamorous Rooms, includes over 208 pages of rooms, detailed shots, and design ideas. In a recent blog, Jan discusses a few of her favorite images from the book, one includes a Kyle Bunting rug, Photograph in Cream (see below). Metropolitan Home

The custom designs created by Juin Ho and Jay Jeffers for the San Francisco Modern by Design Showhouse, were recently featured in Metropolitan Home’s October issue. Kyle partnered with the San Francisco designer’s to create an area rug and upholstered chair back’s. The pieces were featured in the dining and great room of the showhouse. From Hide to Shanghai

Designers Rossana Hu and Lyndon Neri have created quite the buzz in both the US and international design communities. In the recent issue of Interior Design, the husband-wife team is highlighted for their non-traditional work in China and their multidisciplinary vision for the future; which according to Neri  includes working with people that will take their “crazy ideas to the next level.” Click here to read the full article.

Modern By Hide

Metropolitan Home recently unveiled their 2009 Modern By Design Showhome in San Francisco. Kyle Bunting had the honor of collaborating with San Francisco designer Jay Jeffers to custom design an area hide rug for the showhouse’s loft.  Jay Jeffers was one of the ten designers asked to transform the Pacific Heights home into the ultimate contemporary living space.

Below is an image of the custom Kyle Bunting for Jay Jeffers rug in the showhouse’s loft. The room looks great and we are honored to have been part of the project!

Hide Hits San Francisco

Kyle had the honor of teaming up with San Francisco designers Jiun Ho & Jay Jeffers to develop custom upholstery chair back panels and an area rug for the 2009 Metropolitan Home, Modern By Design Showhouse in San Francisco, CA. The pieces will be featured in showhouse’s living room and dining room.

Kyle will be attending the Modern By Design VIP launch party June 17th, 2009 from 6-8pm. All proceeds from the event and showhouse tours will benefit the San Francisco Ballet.

Kyle Bunting Meets Philippe Starck

During West Week in David Sutherland’s Los Angeles showroom, at the unveiling of the RobinWood Deluxe Collection, a line of furniture designed by Philippe Starck for Sutherland Teak, Kyle Bunting had a chance to meet and chat with the world-renowned designer.

Philippe signed copies of Kyle Bunting’s Book; he addressed one specifically to “Kyle B., The Cow King.”

In the top photo above are Kyle and Philippe in front of several of Starck’s pieces and a custom-designed hide rug. The rugs, in Cream and Carrot, were designed specifically by Kyle Bunting for the unveiling event and are now on display throughout David Sutherland’s Showroom.
